Gas station curry might not be at the top of your list, but it should be. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (safe) with spice level (baby). Got Naan. Mango Lassi. Everything was incredibly fresh, and delicious (and still a little bit spicy). I saved half the meal (it's a huge portion) for dinner. This little roadside stop was the highlight of my day. Insanity.

Who knew I would find my favorite Indian food in a gas station? Don't let the location fool you. Extremely generous portion sizes. I had half of my entree leftover! I got the chicken tikka masala (Indian spicy) and garlic naan. The naan was crisp and phenomenal. The masala had so much flavor and tad bit sweetness that paired well with the spice. It's some of the spiciest I've had but I wish I could get it spicier lol. Lots of chicken in as well! Very authentic. Let's be real. You're coming here for the great food, not the ambience. Sure, you'll get paper plates and plastic silverware. But who cares? This stuff is the real deal!
So, the truck stop is very very dirty and smelly. However, the food at the Indian place is so worth it. It’s quite expensive if you are getting naan, curry and rice though. They give you enough food for about 2-3 meals for someone of my size for around 30. Even though I bought mango lassi, they gave me a cup of another type of drink for free while sitting in the restaurant. That stuff was good too. I’m guessing this is one of the best Indian restaurants around here because everyone from all over was coming here.

It's difficult finding delicious authentic Indian food while on the road, and this place is that rare hidden gem to take a chance on. The flavor and high quality food reminded me of dishes I ate while in India, and the people are friendly and kind. The setting is within a gas station with plastic-ware which gave me initial hesitance, but the food is of the highest standards and I'm so grateful I took a chance on what will now become my go-to stop for delicious Indian food while on the road.
Rasoi is as close to authentic Indian food as you can get! We were driving through Indiana on our way to Chicago when we decided to stop here for lunch. Loved it so much that we had to stop on our way back as well. If it wasn't two hours away we would be visiting all the time!
